Tony Gayle - Sound Designer
I have known and worked with Rob Summers professionally for over 15 years, most recently on a West End transfer co designed by myself and Justin Teasdale.
Rob did an excellent job in his position as Head of Sound, and was an asset to the production and represented the Sound Design team in a professional manner.
He has excellent written and verbal communication skills, can work independently, and is able to follow through to ensure that the job gets done.
He has experience in running a department and working well within a team.
His mixing ability is of the highest standard and his knowledge of theatre practices is with out doubt.

About Tony Gayle
Tony Gayle grew up in South London. At a young age he only had aspirations of becoming professional footballer and playing for Arsenal and England! He was fortunate enough to have a tiny bit of footballing talent and if it were not for a long term injury, maybe it would have been a different story today.
He was interested in Drama and Arts at school but never pursued it further until his late teens after his short footballing career ended. This is when he discovered there was more to Drama and Arts than standing on stage in front of an audience...backstage was a thing!
He managed to complete a BTEC National Diploma in Stagecraft and levitated towards the sound element of Theatre.
Tony was sent on work placement in the last year of his course to the leading sound equipment supplier and design company in London, Autograph Sound who specialise in musical theatre and live sound events.
Autograph were suitably impressed with Tony's raw and eager determination to work with sound equipment and offered me a full-time role upon completion of my placement. That was back in 1993 and he stayed for 18 years before leaving for new adventures and challenges within the theatre sound world and beyond, eventually establishing himself as a Production Sound Engineer and Associate Sound Designer.
In 2012 Tony formed Tony Gayle Audio Ltd and continued to offer sound design, production sound services, audio consultancy, and audio crew.
