About Chris Ma
Chris is currently the Associate Musical Director of Dear Evan Hansen in London’s West End. http://chrisma.uk
Chris started learning the piano at age 5 and has been playing ever since. He is currently living in London, working as a Musical Director and teacher in the Musical Theatre industry.
Originally from Hong Kong, he came to study in the UK when he was 11, attending school in Taunton, Somerset until the age of 18. During his school years, Chris was known as the ‘artistic one’, completing his A Levels in Music, Art, Photography and Theatre Studies as well as taking part in numerous ensemble groups, choirs and theatre shows. He ultimately decided to pursue a career in music, successfully gaining a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London.
